Iskandar Investment raises RM130,000 for Johor athlete development

Iskandar Investment Bhd has partnered with other entities to raise RM130,000 in support of the Johor Sports Council's athlete development initiatives. The funding will expand resources available for training and competitive programmes across the state's sporting landscape.

The contribution targets enhancement of facilities and coaching support for more than 1,000 athletes currently under the council's purview. The investment underscores efforts to strengthen Johor's athletic pipeline and competitive capabilities across multiple disciplines.

The Johor Sports Council oversees talent development and competitive participation across the state. This funding injection provides additional financial backing for programmes designed to nurture emerging talent and support established athletes in their pursuit of excellence at regional and national levels.

The initiative reflects growing corporate commitment to grassroots and developmental sports infrastructure in Malaysia's southern state. Such partnerships between private entities and sporting bodies are increasingly important in supplementing government resources directed toward athlete development and facility improvement.
