Islamic preacher Abdullah Abdol Razak, commonly known as Ustaz Lah, entered a not guilty plea to charges of breaching fiduciary duty in connection with approximately RM13 million, according to court documents filed in Malaysia.
The preacher, who maintains a prominent following in religious circles, is also contending with 17 separate counts of money laundering involving RM1.56 million. The cases underscore heightened scrutiny by Malaysian authorities into the financial management practices within certain religious organisations and institutions.
