Active hiring demand across India's IT services industry has climbed to its highest level in 18 months, signalling robust business sentiment among technology companies amid economic recovery. According to data from recruitment analytics firm Xpheno, approximately 57,000 IT services roles are actively being recruited for, with mid-senior and senior positions representing nearly 60 per cent of total openings. This concentration in experienced talent reflects employer priorities to strengthen capabilities in high-demand domains rather than expand entry-level workforces.
The recruitment spike is being driven by sustained employer focus on artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure and digital transformation initiatives. These skill areas remain critical as Indian IT services companies compete for global contracts and help domestic enterprises modernise legacy systems and adopt cloud-native architectures.
