Italy must embrace unpredictability to trouble Springboks, says Quesada

Italy face a daunting task when they take on world champion South Africa in Turin on Saturday, with head coach Gonzalo Quesada acknowledging the magnitude of the challenge ahead. Quesada's side will need to spring tactical surprises if they are to unsettle the heavily favoured Springboks in the Nations Championship clash.

Quesada reserved particular praise for South Africa's director of rugby Rassie Erasmus, rating him as the finest coach in international rugby. Despite the formidable reputation of their opponents, Quesada suggested that unpredictability could prove the key to disrupting a Springboks side that has dominated the global game in recent seasons.

The Italian coach's remarks underline the tactical sophistication required to compete at the highest level of test rugby. With South Africa's attacking prowess and defensive systems well-documented, Quesada will likely be planning variations in approach to keep the world champions off balance throughout the 80 minutes.
