Italy overhaul squad for South Africa test, debut Locatelli

Italy will field a significantly remodelled team when they host South Africa in the Nations Championship on Saturday, as Quesada attempts to manage an injury crisis while providing opportunities for fresh talent. The coaching staff has made 10 changes to the starting lineup, with most alterations necessitated by unavailable players rather than tactical preference. The decision opens the door for Locatelli to make his debut in the flanker position, giving the player a chance to stake his claim on the international stage. The fixture in Turin represents an important test for Italy's depth and adaptability as the team navigates injury constraints during the international window. The South African side, traditional heavyweight contenders in the competition, will provide a stern examination of Italy's ability to compete at the highest level despite their depleted squad.
