Iyer praises bowlers' clarity as India clinches third T20 win over West Indies

India's captain Shreyas Iyer underscored the decisive role of his bowling attack in securing a commanding 14-run victory over the West Indies in Sunday's third T20 International. Speaking at the post-match presentation, Iyer highlighted the confidence and strategic clarity demonstrated by the bowlers as the cornerstone of the team's success.

"The bowlers were very confident in their approach and that clarity was evident in their execution," Iyer said. "Each bowler accepted the challenge when called upon, and that's exactly what you want from your attack." The triumph extended India's advantage in the five-match series to 2-1.

Beyond the bowling unit, Iyer acknowledged the crucial contributions from his batting lineup. Opener Abhishek Sharma led the scoring with a brisk 69 off 30 balls, while wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan provided impactful support with 37 runs from just 18 deliveries. "Abhishek delivered his usual powerplay brilliance, and Kishan has been consistently excellent in recent months," Iyer noted, also crediting Prince Yadav for a valuable cameo towards the innings' conclusion.

The skipper cautioned against complacency against West Indies cricket. "You can never take West Indies lightly," he remarked, acknowledging the unpredictability and quality of the Caribbean side despite their current series position.
