J Infratech seeks ₹600 crore in fresh capital through IPO filing

J Infratech Ltd, an integrated infrastructure engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firm, has filed preliminary IPO documents with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) as it looks to expand its capital base. The company's proposed public offering comprises a fresh issue of ₹600 crore in equity shares, coupled with an offer for sale (OFS) of 1 crore shares by existing promoters, according to filings made Friday.

The Haryana-headquartered company is also considering a pre-IPO placement of up to ₹120 crore from institutional investors. Should this placement be completed, the size of the fresh equity offering would be correspondingly reduced, the draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) indicated.

J Infratech specialises in roads, highways and bridges, leveraging extensive experience in large-scale road development projects across the country. The company is positioned as an integrated player offering end-to-end solutions in the infrastructure engineering and construction sector.

Proceeds from the IPO will be deployed primarily to strengthen working capital, settle or pre-pay existing borrowings, and support general corporate requirements. The capital infusion is expected to enhance the company's financial flexibility and operational capacity as it pursues growth opportunities in India's infrastructure development landscape.
