An exhibition scheduled to mark Jail Killing Day has been deferred following concerns over security arrangements, officials said. The postponement reflects heightened caution in organizing commemorative events in the capital.

Jail Killing Day, observed annually on November 3rd, commemorates the deaths of four prominent political prisoners—Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Syed Nazrul Islam, Tajuddin Ahmad, and Muhammad Mansur Ali—who were killed inside Dhaka Central Jail in 1975.

Organizers of the planned exhibition had intended to present historical artifacts and documents related to the tragic event. The decision to postpone came after consultations with security authorities regarding crowd management and safety protocols.

No new date for the exhibition has been announced as yet. The postponement does not affect other planned observances for Jail Killing Day, which remains an important date in Bangladesh's national calendar.
