Jaipur man pursues robbers while clutching snack after 20-lakh rupee theft

A collection agent named Champalal was robbed of 20 lakh rupees while stopping for snacks at a roadside eatery in Jaipur on Tuesday. Two unidentified men on a scooter snatched the money-filled bag from the agent and fled the scene. Undeterred by the theft, Champalal immediately pursued the robbers on foot, still holding a plate of kachouri—a popular Indian fried pastry.

Witnesses reported that Champalal chased the fleeing suspects down the street while maintaining his grip on his food, determined to catch the thieves despite being outnumbered and on foot. The pursuit lasted several minutes before the robbers managed to escape on their two-wheeler.

Local police have launched an investigation into the incident. Security footage from nearby CCTV cameras has recorded the entire sequence of events, providing authorities with potential leads to track down the suspects. Investigators are reviewing the video to identify the robbers and recover the stolen amount. No injuries were reported in the incident.
