Jakson Green targets 12.5 GW renewable capacity within two years

Jakson Green has set an ambitious timeline to commission 12.5 GW of operational renewable energy capacity within the next two years, marking a significant acceleration of its India-focused development pipeline. The renewable energy company is leveraging this near-term expansion as a cornerstone of its larger 2030 vision, which includes building combined renewable independent power producer (IPP) and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) capabilities of 30 GW.

Beyond conventional solar and wind projects, Jakson Green is broadening its energy transition footprint to encompass emerging sectors including green hydrogen production, green ammonia synthesis, and battery energy storage systems. This diversification reflects growing demand from industrial and commercial customers seeking comprehensive decarbonization solutions across multiple operational areas.

The expansion underscores India's central importance as a renewable energy market, with domestic companies increasingly positioning themselves to capture opportunities in grid-scale renewables as well as emerging technologies critical to the nation's energy transition agenda. Jakson Green's dual focus on near-term capacity additions and long-term technology diversification aligns with India's target of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030.

The company's strategy encompasses both project development and engineering services delivery, allowing it to participate across the renewable energy value chain. This approach positions Jakson Green to benefit from multiple revenue streams as India accelerates its shift towards cleaner energy infrastructure and industrial decarbonization initiatives.
