Jamaat-e-Islami says 34 MPs abroad during long march were on scheduled visits

The party maintained that the absence of these legislators should not be interpreted as a reduction in its commitment to opposition activities. Officials noted that such international parliamentary visits are routine components of their members' duties and legislative responsibilities.
