Jammu & Kashmir to formulate social media journalism guidelines

The Jammu & Kashmir administration will develop new guidelines to regulate social media journalists, according to an announcement made in the Legislative Assembly. Information Minister Sakina Itoo informed the house that a committee has mandated the Information Department to complete the formulation of these guidelines within a four-month timeframe.

The move aims to establish clearer standards and operational frameworks for journalists operating primarily through social media platforms in the union territory.
