Roopi Soren, the mother of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, died after an extended health battle. She had been undergoing treatment at Hill View Hospital & Research Centre following her admission on September 18 with breathing difficulties. Her condition deteriorated during her hospitalization, and she was placed on ventilatory support on October 7.

The hospitalization marked a significant health challenge for the family of the state's chief minister, with her breathing complications necessitating intensive medical intervention. Hill View Hospital & Research Centre, a private healthcare facility, provided the required critical care during her final weeks.
