Jharkhand scraps 44 recruitment exams over irregularities

The Jharkhand government has released an official list of 44 recruitment examinations that have been cancelled due to irregularities detected during their administration. The sweeping cancellations represent a significant setback for thousands of candidates who had prepared for and appeared in these competitive tests across the state.

The cancelled recruitment drives encompassed positions across diverse government departments and sectors. Among the affected examinations were recruitment tests for drug inspectors, assistant professors, deputy collectors, dental doctors, assistant engineers, civil judges, and additional public prosecutors. The cancellations also impacted recruitment for various other administrative and technical positions within the state government.

The decision to cancel the examinations follows investigations that revealed procedural and administrative irregularities in their conduct. State authorities determined that the integrity of the recruitment process had been compromised, necessitating the decision to scrap the results entirely rather than risk appointing candidates through a flawed selection process.
