Jindal Stainless logs 11% profit growth in second quarter

Jindal Stainless posted an 11 per cent year-on-year increase in net profit during Q2FY27, reaching Rs 898 crore, according to its latest financial results. The performance reflects improved operational efficiency across the company's manufacturing facilities and heightened market demand for its product portfolio.

Revenue generation strengthened considerably during the quarter, rising 18 per cent compared to the same period last year. The company attributed the revenue expansion to increased domestic sales volumes and a significant contribution from its export operations across key international markets.

The quarter's results underscore strong market appetite for value-added stainless steel products, a segment where Jindal Stainless has been expanding its offerings. The company's ability to command premium pricing for specialised products has supported margin expansion alongside volume growth.

The financial performance arrives as India's stainless steel sector continues to benefit from diversification in end-use applications, ranging from automotive to appliance manufacturing. Jindal Stainless's export performance particularly signals growing international competitiveness for Indian stainless steel producers amid shifting global supply chain dynamics.
