JNTU-GV scraps rush fee, expedites online certificate delivery for students

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Gurajada Vallabhaneni (JNTU-GV) has announced a significant policy change aimed at making academic certificates more accessible to its student community. The university has eliminated the ₹3,000 tatkal or rush processing fee that students previously had to pay for expedited certificate delivery.

Under the revised system, students can now obtain their certificates online within days at no additional cost. Vice-Chancellor V.V. Subba Rao stated that the decision reflects the institution's commitment to serving its student body more efficiently and equitably. The move addresses a longstanding grievance among students who required urgent certificates for employment or further education opportunities.

The initiative is expected to benefit approximately 90,000 students enrolled across 37 affiliated colleges spread throughout six districts in North Andhra Pradesh. By streamlining the certificate issuance process and removing financial barriers, JNTU-GV aims to reduce delays that students previously faced when seeking credentials for time-sensitive applications.

The university has implemented digital infrastructure to enable faster processing and delivery of certificates through online channels. This technological upgrade allows institutions to manage document requests more efficiently while maintaining the integrity and authenticity of academic credentials issued to graduating students and alumni.
