TACLOBAN CITY — A dolphin stranded in shallow waters off Barangay Ul-og in Calubian, Leyte, has been rescued and released back into the sea following a coordinated response by local authorities.
The Philippine Coast Guard, the Department of Agriculture office in Calubian, and the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) jointly responded to the incident on Monday. The agencies worked together to safely extract the marine mammal from the confined waters where it had become trapped.
