JPJ warns Malaysians against fake TikTok driving licence promotions

PUTRAJAYA — The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has moved to counter misleading promotions circulating on TikTok that falsely advertise the issuance of driving licences without examination. The department firmly denied any association with such offers, warning the public that these advertisements are fraudulent schemes designed to deceive users. JPJ reaffirmed that obtaining a valid driving licence in Malaysia requires candidates to successfully complete both theoretical and practical driving tests, with no exceptions permitted. Officials urged Malaysians to exercise caution when encountering such promotions online and to report suspicious content to the relevant authorities. The department stressed that any individual or entity claiming to bypass mandatory testing requirements is operating illegally and does not represent legitimate JPJ services. Members of the public seeking driving licence information are advised to consult only official JPJ channels and authorised service centres.
