JSW Energy Limited and JSW Steel Limited are preparing to access the debt capital markets in the final quarter of the calendar year to fund their operations and growth initiatives. JSW Energy intends to raise around ₹1,500 crore through bonds with tenures of up to five years, while JSW Steel plans to mobilise approximately ₹1,350 crore via three-year or four-year debt instruments. The combined fundraising effort, equivalent to roughly $300 million at current exchange rates, reflects the two companies' capital requirements as they pursue operational expansion and strategic objectives. Both entities are significant players in their respective sectors, with JSW Energy operating in the power generation space and JSW Steel engaged in steel manufacturing. The bond issuances, scheduled for the October-December period, will add to the companies' funding mix as they balance growth with financial prudence in the current economic environment.
