Investigators in South Korea apprehended the suspect after discovering an elaborate scheme involving the use of macro automation programs designed to circumvent ticket purchasing limits. The man allegedly exploited accounts registered under names of family members to conduct bulk purchases of concert tickets across multiple venues and events.
The operation netted him approximately $2.2 million through secondary market resales, according to law enforcement officials. In total, the suspect is accused of acquiring 8,967 tickets through these unauthorized methods, significantly depleting legitimate inventory available to genuine fans.
