Kadingilan woman becomes Bukidnon's 33rd centenarian

KADINGILAN, Bukidnon — A 100-year-old resident of Kadingilan municipality has been formally recognized as the 33rd centenarian in Bukidnon province, marking a milestone for the advancing demographics of the region.

Anacleta Balonda Ramonida received the distinction following acknowledgment of her community contributions and long life span by both national and local government authorities. The recognition came with cash incentives totaling ₱100,000 and food packs as tokens of appreciation from government agencies.

The centenarian joins a growing cohort of residents who have reached the century mark in Bukidnon. Official records show the province now has 33 recognized centenarians, with women comprising the majority at 23, while 10 are male. The trend reflects broader patterns of increased life expectancy seen across the Philippines and Southeast Asia in recent decades.

Local government units have intensified efforts to identify and honor centenarians, recognizing both their survival achievements and their roles as repositories of community history and knowledge.
