The Kanaka Durga temple, one of the most venerated religious sites in Vijayawada, is preparing for its annual Dasara observance beginning October 11. The festival will follow traditional customs, with the presiding deity presenting as Sri Bala Tripura Sundari Devi on the first day of celebrations, marking the beginning of the nine-day worship cycle dedicated to the goddess.

To manage the influx of devotees expected during the festival period, the Vijayawada police department has deployed more than 3,000 personnel across the temple premises and surrounding areas. The enhanced security presence will facilitate crowd management and ensure smooth conduct of the religious observances.
