Kane, Haaland and Messi named in 2026 Ballon d'Or shortlist

France Football revealed the 30-man shortlist for the 2026 Men's Ballon d'Or on Tuesday, featuring several of world football's most prominent figures. Kane, Haaland and Messi join a competitive field of contenders competing for one of the sport's most coveted individual honours.

The announcement also highlighted Vozinha's recognition in goalkeeping accolades. The Cape Verde custodian, who gained prominence during World Cup competition, secured a nomination for the Yashin Trophy, which recognises excellence in the goalkeeper position.

The Ballon d'Or, awarded annually by France Football magazine in partnership with FIFA, honours the world's best football player based on performances throughout the calendar year. This year's shortlist underscores the depth of talent competing at the highest levels of international football.

Full voting results are expected in the coming weeks, with the winner to be announced at a ceremony scheduled for later this year.
