Kareena Kapoor Khan has claimed the top spot among contemporary Bollywood performers during an appearance on Karan Johar's chat show Koffee With Karan. When posed the question about who ranks as the number one actor in the current generation, the actor responded decisively in her own favour.
The query, a recurring feature on the programme, typically elicits candid responses from celebrity guests about their peers in the Hindi film industry. Kapoor Khan's self-assured response adds to the continuing conversation about hierarchies and rankings within Bollywood's acting fraternity.
During the same episode, Saif Ali Khan, Kapoor Khan's spouse, offered an alternative viewpoint. The veteran actor suggested he may have been miscast in his various roles, presenting a more self-deprecating stance compared to his wife's confident assertion.
The appearance marks yet another instance of actors engaging in the playful banter that characterises Johar's show, which has become known for generating headlines through its candid celebrity interviews and rapid-fire questions about the film industry and personal lives.
