Amit Kumar Gupta, who served in the 1999 Kargil conflict, was hospitalized with critical head injuries and a fractured hand after an altercation at his residential society in Gurgaon turned violent. According to reports, the confrontation erupted over a parking-related disagreement between residents at the complex.

Gupta was allegedly attacked with an iron rod by another resident during the dispute. Emergency services responded to the scene, and the veteran was admitted to a nearby hospital where doctors confirmed multiple fractures and head trauma requiring immediate medical intervention.

Local police have registered a case in connection with the incident and launched an investigation into the assault. The attack has highlighted the escalating nature of residential disputes in Gurgaon's densely populated apartment complexes, where parking availability remains a persistent source of conflict among residents.

The incident comes at a time when authorities across the National Capital Region have been grappling with increased reports of violence stemming from minor civic disagreements. Residents and safety advocates have called for greater community policing measures and conflict resolution mechanisms within residential societies to prevent such incidents.
