Karnataka Council: Vote counting underway for North-East Teachers' seat

Vote counting has begun for the North-East Teachers' constituency in the ongoing Karnataka Legislative Council elections. The process got underway with 30,250 votes polled during the election, officials said.

Fourteen counting tables were established to handle the tabulation of first-preference votes cast by eligible teachers in the constituency. The arrangement reflects the expected volume of votes and aims to ensure an orderly and efficient counting process.

The North-East Teachers' constituency is one of several teacher-represented seats in the Karnataka Council, reflecting the state's provision for professional constituency representation. Results from this seat will form part of the overall Council election outcome.

Counting officials have been deployed to manage the verification and tabulation of votes across the multiple counting stations. The process is expected to continue until all votes have been counted and results declared.
