Karnataka Minister Launches Gramodaya Quarterly Journal on Rural Development

Karnataka Minister Eshwar Khandre released the latest quarterly edition of Gramodaya at his official office in Bengaluru on Thursday. The journal, which focuses on rural development and community advancement, was unveiled in the presence of Prof. Suresh V. Nadagoudar, Vice-Chancellor of the host university.

Gramodaya, whose Sanskrit-derived name translates to rural prosperity, serves as a platform for discourse on agrarian issues, village-level policy implementation, and sustainable rural growth across South India. The quarterly publication brings together academic research, policy analysis, and field insights relevant to rural communities.

The minister's office has positioned the journal as a key initiative to bridge the gap between academic institutions and grassroots rural development programmes. The presence of senior university leadership at the launch underscores institutional commitment to advancing rural-focused scholarship and dialogue.

The release coincides with growing emphasis among state administrators on leveraging academic expertise to address persistent challenges in rural economies and agricultural sustainability across Karnataka.
