Karnataka to roll out Anna Seve app statewide from mid-October

The Anna Seve application, designed to streamline access to state welfare schemes, will be deployed across all districts in Karnataka beginning October 14. The rollout follows an extensive pilot programme that demonstrated significant uptake among the state's beneficiary population.

During the pilot phase, the application facilitated electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC) verification for more than 1.6 lakh individuals. This digital verification process enables beneficiaries to complete identity authentication remotely, reducing administrative delays and improving service delivery efficiency.

The state government has set October 20 as a critical deadline, marking the formal completion of the initial deployment phase. Officials indicate that the statewide availability will allow residents across Karnataka to access welfare programme information and initiate benefit applications through a single digital platform.

The Anna Seve application represents the state's broader digitalization initiative aimed at simplifying welfare distribution and reducing bureaucratic friction. By consolidating multiple schemes under one interface, the platform seeks to improve transparency and ensure faster benefit disbursement to eligible residents across the state.
