KBN University introduces Foldscope microscopy training for student researchers

The workshop, conducted at the university's premises, aimed to familiarize students with Foldscope devices—origami-inspired microscopes that can be assembled from flat sheets of paper and cost significantly less than conventional laboratory equipment. This low-cost alternative to traditional microscopes has gained traction in educational institutions across South Asia for enabling field-based scientific study in resource-limited settings.

Participants received hands-on training in assembling, calibrating, and operating the Foldscope devices, learning techniques for specimen preparation and microscopic observation.
