ALOR SETAR — All schools and educational institutions throughout Kedah will operate as scheduled, authorities announced on Thursday, after air quality measurements reached acceptable levels in the state.
The decision to maintain normal operations comes after monitoring showed improvements in the Air Pollutant Index (API) across key areas in Kedah. State officials determined that current atmospheric conditions pose no significant risk to students and staff, allowing schools to function without disruption.
The announcement provides relief to parents and educators after earlier concerns about air quality had prompted speculation about possible school closures. With conditions now deemed safe, educational activities will continue uninterrupted across primary and secondary institutions throughout the state.
Authorities have advised educational institutions to continue monitoring air quality updates and maintain standard health and safety protocols. Parents are encouraged to remain alert to any further developments should atmospheric conditions change.
