ALOR SETAR — Kedah's education authorities have confirmed that schools throughout the state will maintain normal operations, citing current air quality measurements that have stabilised within moderate ranges. The decision reflects assessments of the Air Pollutant Index (API) across key monitoring stations in the state, which have not reached levels deemed hazardous to student and staff health. Education officials have indicated they will continue monitoring air quality conditions throughout the day and stand ready to implement contingency measures should readings deteriorate. Parents and school administrators are advised to remain alert to further updates from state authorities regarding air quality developments. The announcement comes as the region continues to experience intermittent haze, a recurring seasonal challenge affecting multiple states across Malaysia and neighbouring countries during certain months of the year.
