KOTA BHARU — Almost all development and infrastructure project applications submitted by the Kelantan state government have been approved, according to Menteri Besar Ahmad Yakob, who attributed the success to strengthened ties between federal and state authorities.
The high approval rate demonstrates the effectiveness of ongoing coordination mechanisms between Kuala Lumpur and the northeastern state, Yakob said. He highlighted that the collaborative approach has enabled faster processing of crucial development initiatives aimed at boosting economic growth and improving public services across Kelantan.
The approved projects encompass a range of infrastructure and developmental initiatives spanning multiple sectors. These undertakings are expected to enhance connectivity, economic opportunities, and service delivery for Kelantan residents.
The development comes as state governments across Malaysia seek enhanced cooperation with federal ministries and agencies to expedite project implementation. Kelantan's experience reflects broader efforts to streamline the approval process for state-level initiatives requiring federal oversight or funding.
