KENT RO Holdings Limited has committed ₹250 crore to establish a dedicated energy storage business as it ventures beyond its core water purification segment. The move positions the company to capitalize on India's growing demand for renewable energy storage and backup power solutions.
The company's new energy division has begun manufacturing at its Noida facility with an initial annual production capacity of 3.5 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of lithium batteries and inverters. Management has outlined an ambitious expansion roadmap, planning to scale capacity to 10 GWh within six months to meet anticipated market demand.
The entry into energy storage marks KENT RO's second major diversification beyond water purification products. The lithium battery and inverter segment addresses India's renewable energy infrastructure needs, particularly as the country accelerates its shift toward solar and wind power alongside grid stability requirements.
The Noida manufacturing facility positions KENT RO to serve both residential and commercial segments seeking backup power solutions and energy storage systems. The expanded capacity is expected to enable the company to address supply gaps in a market increasingly driven by India's clean energy transition objectives.
