Kerala CM denies targeting motive in Exalogic-CMRL inquiry

Chief Minister Pinarayi Satheesan on Monday dismissed suggestions that the government's decision to initiate a police inquiry into the Exalogic-CMRL payoff case was motivated by a desire to target anyone or seek revenge. Speaking to reporters, Satheesan emphasized that the government was merely fulfilling its constitutional and legal obligations in the matter. The Kerala government's move follows a comprehensive legal review of the case, officials said. The inquiry pertains to allegations of irregularities in a transaction between technology firm Exalogic and the Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL). Satheesan's statement comes amid opposition criticism of the government's handling of the matter. The CM reiterated that the administration would ensure all procedures were followed transparently and that the investigation would be conducted impartially. The government remains committed to upholding accountability and the rule of law, he added.
