Kerala government to continue select KIIFB projects, CM clarifies
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Satheesan has clarified that the state government is not scrapping all Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board initiatives, addressing concerns over project discontinuation.

The Kerala government will continue with selected projects under the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB), Chief Minister Pinarayi Satheesan said, responding to reports of a blanket halt on the agency's work.
Satheesan's statement came as the newly formed government reviews ongoing KIIFB initiatives to assess their viability and impact. The Chief Minister indicated that while some projects may be reconsidered, the government remains committed to infrastructure development through a selective approach.
KIIFB, which was established to fund major capital projects in Kerala, has been instrumental in financing various developmental initiatives across the state. The clarification suggests the government is conducting a strategic evaluation rather than implementing a wholesale shutdown of the fund's operations.
The move reflects the incoming administration's broader policy of scrutinizing public expenditure while maintaining essential infrastructure work. Officials are expected to announce details of which projects will continue or be modified in the coming weeks as the review process progresses.
