Kerala's UDF government has achieved significant progress in its initial phase, with Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan announcing the implementation of 568 projects from its 100-day action plan. The administration credited swift execution across various sectors for the milestone, signalling momentum in the new government's policy rollout.
Building on this foundation, the government has unveiled its second major initiative, 'Janasparsham', designed to address the substantial backlog of pending administrative files. The programme, which the administration characterises as a 'File Adalat' or file tribunal, will run from October 15 through December 31.
The initiative aims to accelerate decision-making on longstanding matters stuck in bureaucratic channels, with the compressed timeline intended to ensure faster disposal of cases. Officials described the drive as a direct response to public grievances regarding delayed file processing in government departments.
Chief Minister Satheesan framed the dual announcements as evidence of the government's commitment to efficient governance and citizen engagement. The 'Janasparsham' programme represents the administration's effort to balance rapid implementation of new projects with clearing inherited administrative bottlenecks.
