Kerala launches digital platform to showcase talents of persons with disabilities

The Kerala Social Security Mission (KSSM) in collaboration with its Special Initiatives Division (SID) has unveiled plans for the 'Rhythm Virtual Platform', a comprehensive digital initiative aimed at creating equal opportunities for persons with disabilities in the arts sector.

The platform will serve as a centralized repository for documenting and showcasing the creative talents and performances of differently abled artists. By leveraging digital technology, the initiative seeks to provide a professional framework through which artists with disabilities can reach broader audiences and gain recognition for their work.

The 'Rhythm Virtual Platform' is envisaged to handle multiple functions including professional documentation of artistic performances, digital promotion and dissemination of content, and creation of networking opportunities within the arts community. The platform aims to eliminate geographical barriers and provide differently abled artists with direct access to wider market opportunities.

Official sources indicate that the initiative represents Kerala's commitment to inclusive development and social equity.
