Kerala Lok Ayukta pushes for digital transparency in state lottery operations

According to the recommendations, the proposed platform should be regularly updated to ensure the public receives current information about lottery functioning. This measure is expected to enable greater scrutiny of lottery operations and allow stakeholders to track developments as they occur, rather than relying on periodic disclosures.

The Lok Ayukta has also stressed the importance of developing a robust statistical monitoring framework to systematically track lottery outcomes over time. Such a framework would facilitate the detection of anomalies or irregularities in lottery draws and contribute to ensuring the integrity of the system.

The recommendations reflect growing concerns about ensuring public confidence in state-run lotteries, which represent a significant revenue source for Kerala.
