According to the complaint filed by the woman, she confronted her husband upon making the discovery. The confrontation allegedly led to a bout of domestic abuse, prompting her to approach law enforcement authorities with a formal complaint detailing both the violation of her privacy and the subsequent violence.
Investigations into the matter revealed evidence involving the couple's minor child, leading authorities to invoke provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The child's testimony during the investigation established grounds for the additional charges, which carry stricter penalties under Indian law.
