A Kerala travel vlogger known for documenting her journeys across the globe has issued a clarification regarding her recent experience in Afghanistan, stepping back from earlier claims about involvement with militant organizations.

The content creator, who operates the Facebook page Backpacker Arunima, took to social media to explain the circumstances of her time in the war-torn country. According to her latest statement, she encountered legal restrictions rather than direct confrontation with armed groups.

"According to the law of this country, a woman cannot travel alone," the vlogger stated in her post, referring to Afghanistan's regulatory framework. She revealed that she had been denied a travel permit in Jalalabad specifically because she was journeying without male accompaniment, a requirement enforced under the country's existing laws.

The clarification comes after the vlogger's earlier posts generated significant attention on social media platforms. The revised narrative suggests that her difficulties in Afghanistan stemmed from local regulations governing female movement rather than confrontations with militant organizations.
