Kirloskar Industries profit climbs 5% to ₹105 crore in Q2

Kirloskar Industries Ltd (KIL) has posted a consolidated profit after tax of ₹105 crore in the second quarter of fiscal 2026-27, up from ₹100.1 crore in the corresponding period last year. The modest profit growth contrasts with a robust 17% expansion in consolidated income, which jumped to ₹2,097.7 crore from ₹1,790.1 crore year-on-year.

The company's performance was underpinned by steady operations at its key subsidiary, Kirloskar Ferrous Industries Limited, which maintained resilience through improved operational efficiency and optimised capacity utilisation. Strong demand for ferrous products across multiple sectors supported the subsidiary's results during the quarter.

On the real estate front, KIL's wholly-owned subsidiary Avante Spaces Limited continues to advance its development initiatives. The company's flagship Kothrud project is progressing as scheduled, with the company targeting the creation of premium residential spaces designed to meet contemporary requirements.

Managing Director George Verghese attributed the company's performance to operational stability and market demand, noting that ongoing projects were reinforcing KIL's broader vision of delivering value to stakeholders through high-quality property development and industrial operations.
