Kishan ruled out of second T20I; Sooryavanshi named replacement

Ishan Kishan will miss the second T20 International of the ongoing series, with selector Sitanshu Kotak confirming the wicketkeeper-batter's unavailability on Tuesday. The decision came following assessment of Kishan's fitness following the opening match of the series.

Abhishek Sooryavanshi has been named as Kishan's replacement in the squad for the upcoming fixture. The move will provide the Kerala-born batter with an opportunity to gain international exposure at the shortest format.

Kishan, who has been a regular feature in India's T20 setup, was in contention for the match. The nature and extent of his injury have not been disclosed by the team management. The second T20I will be played as per the scheduled itinerary.
