KLA Tencor Software acquires 12-acre Chennai land for ₹1,020 crore

KLA Tencor Software India Private Ltd. has secured over 12 acres of land along the Pallavaram-Thoraipakkam Radial Road in Chennai for ₹1,020 crore, representing the single-largest land transaction recorded in the zone to date. The acquisition underscores the continued appeal of the corridor as a destination for technology sector investments.

The transaction reflects robust demand from multinational technology firms for office and development space in Chennai, which has emerged as a significant hub for software services and capability centres. The Pallavaram-Thoraipakkam corridor has witnessed steady commercial development over recent years, attracting major IT companies seeking expansion opportunities in India's second-largest software services market by employment.

KLA Tencor Software India plans to develop a Global Capability Centre on the site, which will add to the company's existing footprint in India. Such centres typically house engineering, research, and support functions, contributing to local employment and technology sector growth.
