KLIA airport rail fares set to increase from New Year 2027
Express Rail Link Malaysia has announced fare adjustments for both KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit services, effective January 1, 2027. The move marks the first fare revision for the airport rail connection in several years.

KUALA LUMPUR — The operator of Kuala Lumpur International Airport's rail connections has confirmed that passenger fares will be increased across both service tiers from the beginning of next year.
The fare adjustment will apply to KLIA Ekspres, the faster non-stop service connecting the airport to Kuala Lumpur Sentral, and KLIA Transit, which makes multiple stops along the route. The decision follows a review of operational costs and service maintenance requirements, according to the announcement made on September 30.
The new tariff structure will take effect on January 1, 2027, giving passengers advance notice of the changes. The rail operator has not disclosed the specific magnitude of the increases at this stage.
Both rail services remain key transport options for travellers heading to and from KLIA, serving as alternatives to road-based airport transfers. The fare adjustment is expected to support ongoing infrastructure maintenance and service improvements on the 57-kilometre railway corridor.
