Klopp starts Germany tenure with victory; Portugal advance without Ronaldo

Germany claimed victory under new manager Jurgen Klopp in his first competitive match in charge, continuing the team's push in their ongoing campaign. The former Liverpool manager took the helm following a managerial transition, and the result provides an encouraging start to his tenure with the national squad.

Portugal, meanwhile, secured a positive outcome in their own fixture in Austria, demonstrating squad depth as they progressed without Ronaldo. The veteran forward's absence did not hinder the team's ability to deliver a successful performance, showcasing the strength available to manager Roberto Martínez beyond his most celebrated player.

Both results represent significant developments in European football action, with Germany building momentum under Klopp's new direction while Portugal continues its campaign with a rotated squad composition. The matches underscored the competitive state of continental fixtures and the readiness of both nations to advance their objectives in their respective competitions.
