Kochi imposes traffic restrictions for police marathon event

Traffic movement will be restricted on National Highway 544 between SCMS Kalamassery and JLN Stadium in Kaloor, as well as on the Aluva-Ernakulam PWD Road and the stadium premises from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., city officials announced.

The curbs are being imposed to ensure smooth conduct of a police marathon being organized in the city. Motorists have been advised to plan their commute accordingly and use alternative routes during the restricted hours.

The JLN Stadium in Kaloor will serve as the focal point for the event, with the traffic restrictions covering the key arterial roads leading to and around the venue. Commuters traveling between Kalamassery and Kaloor during the afternoon should expect delays and are urged to avoid the affected stretches if possible.

Authorities have requested public cooperation to ensure the event concludes without incident. Further details regarding alternative traffic arrangements have not been disclosed by officials.
