Anmol Industries Limited has filed preliminary documentation with the Securities and Exchange Board of India for a public share sale valued at ₹1,800 crore, according to regulatory filings. The Kolkata-headquartered confectionery manufacturer plans to tap capital markets as it looks to strengthen its operational presence across South and Southeast Asia.
The proposed IPO will be structured exclusively as a secondary offering, meaning no fresh capital will be raised for the company. Instead, existing shareholders will divest their holdings through the public issue. Baijnath Choudhary & Family Trust, the company's principal investor, will fully exit its stake during the offering, the regulatory documents indicate.
The move reflects a shift in the shareholding structure of the biscuit maker, which has established itself as a significant player in India's packaged snacks sector. The IPO will enable public market participation in the company while providing the founding investor an opportunity to liquidate its position.
The company will need to secure final regulatory approval from SEBI before proceeding with the public offering. Subject to clearance, the IPO is expected to commence within the financial year, though formal timelines remain pending.
