The delegation, led by Deokuju Jung, President of the Korean Volunteer Association for Distinguished Service to the State, met with Dr Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, Secretary to the President, at the Presidential Secretariat on Monday afternoon.
The talks centred on welfare programmes that the Korean association plans to implement across Sri Lanka, as well as the technical and administrative support required to facilitate these initiatives.
The meeting reflects growing engagement between South Korea and Sri Lanka in the social welfare sector. The Korean Volunteer Association, known for coordinating international development and humanitarian work, has previously partnered with countries across Asia on community-focused programmes.
Details regarding the scope and timeline of the proposed welfare programmes are expected to emerge following further coordination between the two parties.
