KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato — The City of Koronadal Integrated Public Transport Terminal became the venue for a large-scale celebration Thursday as the city hosted its 13th Lechon Festival, drawing crowds eager to sample free roasted pork.
The event, held as part of the Negosyo Festival and the city's 26th charter anniversary commemorations, showcased the culinary traditions and community spirit of Koronadal. All 27 barangays of the city participated in the festivities, alongside 12 commercial lechon establishments that contributed to the festival.
The lechon festival has become a signature event in Koronadal's annual calendar, blending food, commerce, and civic celebration. The distribution of free roasted pigs highlighted the city government's commitment to community engagement while providing a platform for local lechon producers and entrepreneurs to demonstrate their craft.
