Kozhikode launches fortnight-long voter registration drive

Kozhikode district will undertake an intensive voter enrolment campaign beginning October 15, with registration activities set to continue through October 31. The drive aims to increase participation in the electoral process by simplifying access to voter registration facilities across the district.

Village-level offices will serve as primary registration centres during the fortnight-long initiative. Dedicated digital help desks will be established at these locations to assist citizens in completing enrolment applications and addressing queries related to the registration process.

As part of efforts to engage younger voters, organisers will launch the 'Campus to Booth' programme, which seeks to encourage college and university students to register themselves on the electoral rolls. The targeted outreach is designed to address low registration rates among first-time voters in the region.

The special drive represents a coordinated effort by electoral officials to enhance voter participation ahead of forthcoming elections. Citizens are advised to visit their respective village offices during the designated period to complete registration formalities.
